HEATHER MIKES HEADS WRAGG & CASAS' SOUTHWEST FLORIDA OFFICE
FORT MYERS, Fla. - June 25, 2003 - Heather Mikes, a veteran public affairs specialist at Wragg & Casas Public Relations, has been named to head the firm’s Southwest Florida division. She will be headquartered in the Fort Myers office and will serve clients throughout the southwest Florida region.
Mikes, who recently has handled legislative, media relations and special event planning for clients throughout Florida, will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies for Southwest Florida businesses. She also will be responsible for business development and liaison with community groups on behalf of the firm.
Mikes joined the Miami office of Wragg & Casas in 2000 after working at Public Affairs Consultants, Inc., a Tallahassee-based lobbying firm.
“Heather Mikes brings to southwest Florida a wealth of experience in developing public relations strategies for businesses,” said Otis Wragg, a principal at Wragg & Casas. “Her background includes a unique blend of handling political issues, media relations counseling, special events planning and community relations for large and small businesses. A native of Florida, Mikes spends much of her community service time in education oriented activities and still serves on the advisory board of her high school, South Plantation High, in Plantation, Fl. She is a cum laude graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor of science degree in communications with an emphasis on business.
Mikes’ office is located at the Renaissance Center, 8695 College Parkway in Fort Myers. She and her husband, a Naples lawyer, make their home in Bonita Springs.
