LAS VEGAS – Nov. 18, 2015 – Avionica Inc. announced it has renewed its agreement with Gulfstream Aerospace to provide the avRDC data concentrator as factory standard equipment on the G650 through 2022 with an extension for as long as the aircraft is produced.
“Gulfstream’s selection of the avRDC as the data concentrator unit supporting the Health Trend Monitoring System on the G650 endorses the quality and superiority of this product. The avRDC offers operators outstanding reliability, performance and the Avionica guarantee of quality service,” said Anthony Rios, vice president of sales, said from the NBAA

Gulfstream was the launch customer of the lightweight avRDC, which serves as a quick access recorder (QAR), Aircraft interface Device (AID), and wireless Airborne Dataloader (ADL) all in a 1.1-pound box. As installed on the G650, the equipment samples data from a number of data buses, concentrating it into a formatted data stream over Ethernet based on specific Gulfstream algorithms.
“Avionica’s experienced team has led the way linking traditional and non-traditional avionics as we actively participated in the development of the ARINC 759 Aircraft Interface Device standard. The result was the development of a simple and affordable design standard that we offer in this product,” Rios said.
To date, Avionica has installed quick-access recorder (QAR) equipment to capture data on more than 8,000 aircraft, including those manufactured by Boeing, Embraer, Bombardier, Gulfstream, Dassault, Cessna and Learjet. Airlines such as Emirates, United, GOL, UPS and COPA all count on Avionica miniQARs for their flight data management programs.
Avionica’s satellite communications product, satLINK MAX, is the lightest and highest performing Iridium™ satellite communications solution for the Boeing 737 as well as the Boeing 777, 767 and 757. It also can be installed as a retrofit on all business aircraft to satisfy FANS-1/A+ requirements.
The company boasts a record 18 Federal Aviation Administration certificates of approval for installation on aircraft and multiple certification approvals from Canada, Europe, United Arab Emirates and China.
